ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SOFT GLAM PALETTE SWATCHES

Good morning everyone and happy Monday! So I finally went out and bought the Soft Glam palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills recently and I'm excited to share with you my thoughts on this latest addition to their eyeshadow family along with swatches! ABH released the Soft Glam palette back in February and because I'm a huge fan of Anastasia's products and neutral tones, I wanted to make sure I bought this one. This palette is a follow up to their Prism, Subculture and Modern Renaissance palettes. All which I don't own but I know the Modern Renaissance is a fan favorite! However, I do own a couple of ABH single shadows and I was able to get my hands on their limited edition Self Made palette (you can read the review I did on that one here) and that's how I fell in love with ABH eyeshadows!

What really made me want to buy this palette was the neutral everyday vibe it has. It is described as, "The perfect collection of easy-to-blend, full pigment shadows. With a long-lasting formula, this palette is complete with bronze metallics and iridescent finishes ideal for a nighttime look and neutral mattes for daytime." Which I agree with 100%. You can create a simple pretty eye look with these shadows for the daytime and a sexy smokey look for the night. Anastasia Beverly Hills creates some of the smoothest formulas with the best pigmentation in the makeup world. They are so pigmented that you don't have to dig your brush in the pan to get the color to show on your eyelid. I did receive a little kick up and normal fall out while creating a look but not too much. I also didn't have any problem with the way they blended on my first impression. And just like the rest of ABH eyeshadow palettes, this one comes with a double-ended brush and a mirror. The brush feels very soft and you can use it to blend out your shadows but I still prefer to use my sigma brushes for blending. I like to use these type of brushes for other uses like to apply shadow under my waterline or to contour my nose.

The Soft Glam palette comes in 14 shades. 9 ultra-matte and 5 shimmery shades. They also included 3 repeat shades from the Modern Renaissance collection: Tempera, Burnt Orange, and Cypress Umber. I don't mind that these shades come in a different palette because they are useful eyeshadows you can use for any look and the type of shadows you'll hit pan on first. Especially Burnt Orange which is a perfect warm transition shade. The shadows swatches beautifully, the only one that came off a little patchy was Dusty Rose but it applied smoothly without any patchiness.

TEMPERA, GLISTENING, ORANGE SODA, ROSE PINK, SULTRY, BRONZE, MULBERRY

DUSTY ROSE, FAIRY, BURNT ORANGE, SIENNA, RUSTIC, CYPRUS UMBER, NOIR

I really love the Soft Glam pallete and I'm going to be using this spring and summer. This is a great staple palette for anyone who enjoys doing their eyeshadow and for anyone who is just starting out.

I'll be showing looks using this palette soon on the blog so make sure you come back. Thank you for reading! Let me know if you have this palette and what are your thoughts?
