MY FENTY BEAUTY PRO FILT'R FOUNDATION REVIEW & DEMO

Hi guys! Today I'm sharing a review of Rihanna's new Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation which I've been wearing for about a month now! I got the shade in "310", a shade meant for medium to tan skin with very warm undertones. This foundation color is indeed very warm and matches well with my tan. You always want to match your foundation color with the color of the rest of your body instead of your face. This foundation is known to oxidize, so when picking up your shade, I recommend visiting your local Sephora to get color matched or if you're choosing online, try to go one shade lighter because it does dry down darker than when it's first applied.

After applying moisturizer (right now I'm loving this one) and preparing my skin with a primer (I used this one because it perfectly fills in my pores), I pump 2 pumps of it on the back of my hand, dot it all over my face and I start buffing it in with my damped beauty blender. I found this technique to be my favorite after trying it with a brush. I didn't hate using a brush to apply the foundation but because this formula dries pretty fast, I find using a beauty blender works better.

This is how my skin looks right after applying the foundation and before applying setting powder or concealer. I love that this has a soft matte finish because I normally don't like ultra-matte foundations. I have mainly dry skin and I have yet to try a foundation that doesn't accentuate the texture of my skin and make it look dry. With the Fenty foundation, my skin does not look cakey or dry. It's comfortable, breathable and I didn't feel it on my face because of how lightweight it is. It's a medium to buildable full coverage and it performed great at covering up my blemishes.

And this is the final look after applying the rest of my makeup (concealer, setting powder, bronzer, etc). The Fenty foundation worked so well with all my other products and it set beautifully, I'm impressed! If you are interested in how I achieved this final look, let me know in the comment section below! I will do a separate post with all the products I used for this makeup which has been my go-to look all month long.

I also did a flash test and this is how it turned out - no flash back and it looks great in photos!

Lastly, I did a wear test and wore it for a full day without touching up. Since I have dry skin, I normally don't have to blot my face but if you have oily skin, the Fenty beauty line carries blotting papers and a blotting powder which I thought was pretty cool! I'm glad that this foundation stayed on all day, it did not separate, settle into fine lines and it doesn't look like a mess at the end of the day!

That's it for today's review. Overall I am in love with the Fenty foundation and I recommend you head to a Sephora store to pick up a sample to try it out! And if you have tried this foundation, let me know your thoughts! Did you like or did you not like it? And why? Also if you have a request for me to review a product, you can leave a comment or send me a message! I'll be glad to do it for you! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
